Thing #22 Nings

Just one more thing for me to read online--my eyes are going to pop because of course, I'll want to stay up to date on what everyone's doing. Love the idea of Nings since it is specific to your interests and not just another MySpace or Facebook. I can see it helping librarians of the world to stay in touch about certain issues. Interesting to read the comments of the big ning of librarians then the Texas Librarian Ning. I read some of the same folks on tlc or lm_net so now I can put a face with the voice. Cool beans.
I might use a ning for "private" if there is really anything private anymore for my old friends or buddies who all know each other to stay in touch rather than just an email sent to all. I think it would also be cool to have a district or school ning to get to know other librarians on the other campuses and for the teachers to know each other better. My school is fairly large and not everyone knows each other. Not being too creative--to be honest I need to finish all my things before I leave on vacation so on to the LAST one...yippee!
